Reconnect and dive deeper into the story of Chanukah with the Maas Center for Jewish Journeys! In this online workshop, you’ll explore the history and meaning behind the Festival of Lights while uncovering how its rituals, blessings, and stories can inspire your own life today. Guided by the Founder and Executive Director of The Torah Studio Liana Wertman, you’ll have space to share, question, and rediscover what this season of illumination means to you.
All registered participants will also receive a digital copy of Miller Intro to Judaism's Chanukah at Home Guide, filled with step by step how-to's, insights, and resources to help bring the warmth and wisdom of the holiday into your own celebration.
This workshop will be live on Zoom on December 7th from 5:00-6:30 PM PT. Registrants will also receive a recording of the program 24-48 hours after it goes live.

Liana Wertman is the Founder and Executive Director of The Torah Studio. She is a recipient of the 2022 Pomegranate Award from the Covenant Foundation for her work with the Torah Studio. Liana graduated with a BA in History from USC and has a master's in educational leadership from HUC-JIR Rhea Hirsch School of Education. She is also an alumna of The Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, the Classic Talmud Program from Yashrut, and the SVARA Pedagogy Chaburah. Liana runs The Torah Studio from her home in Idyllwild, California with her husband Joe Schiff and their dog Daisy.
