Prior to our session, I wanted to share some important information on how to prepare and what to bring. Here's what you need to know: 1) If you haven't already, are new to my class, or your information has changed, please complete your General Medical Questionnaire (https://forms.gle/WhYJeTJhrxhMY2kR6) and then, sign your Studio Liability Form (https://signrequest.com/#/sign-template/4262d042a0c2b52e401377342209ef63977b41167bc0c8b9dfb141a69ac5c2dd/?no_phone=1) 2) Bring your yoga mat. While we will have blankets and bolsters for class, you may want to add a little extra comfort beneath your body. If you cannot lie down, please bring a floor chair with back support or something you can comfortably sit in. 3) Grab a journal and a pen. Not all classes will have journaling, but we often use this practice for opening and/or integration at the end. I would highly suggest bringing one so you can take note of any information that comes through and have something to reflect back on from your session. Breathwork can bring forward ah-has or new information from within. 4) Get comfy & step into safety. Wear something you can move freely in, whether that's athletic clothing, jammies or your go to sweater. Additional supportive items like a favorite blanket, essential oils, or crystals can also be brought to this space. The invitation is really to set yourself up to be comfortable and feel safe. 5) Make sure you have an empty stomach. This will help to maximize your comfort as we breathe. Refrain from drinking or eating a lot 1 hour prior to your session. Should your mouth get dry during our session, you can have a water bottle nearby to sip on. This session will be done mostly lying down on the mat. Eye masks will be provided if that feels supportive to your practice. I will ask that all phones are silenced and watches that could disrupt your experience be taken off during the session. *Please arrive 5 minutes early. The doors will be locked when class starts. Parking can be found on the street out front, in the Peace side of the lot around back, or on Cleveland, in Colonial Plaza or the public lot by the Alumni Club. At the beginning of our practice, we will discuss what to expect, the intention, and breath patterns we will be using, as well as a high level overview of what breathwork does for nervous system regulation and emotional release. We will leave a few minutes at the end of the session to ground and integrate any breakthroughs.
