DO YOU KNOW HOW FAST YOU WERE GOING?

A national forum to develop a model speed management pilot program

Speeding is a factor in the deaths of approximately 10,000 people each year in the U.S, but this problem is not being addressed comprehensively. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the Governors Highway Safety Association will convene a speeding forum to develop a pilot speed management program. A diverse group of stakeholders is invited to consider all aspects of building a model program including engineering, high visibility enforcement and communications.

Now is the time to deal with this persistent problem. Without a strategy to stop speeding, the goal of zero traffic fatalities is unattainable.
