Join our International Humanitarian Law discussion, "Humanitarian Perspective on Conflicts in the Sudan" with special guest speaker Susan Burgess-Lent.
Susan Burgess-Lent is a veteran international aid worker, warrior for women’s rights, author, mentor, and public speaker. She is Founder and Executive Director of Women’s Center’s International, a non-profit that creates resource centers for women affected by conflict and poverty. She worked for the International Services Department for American Red Cross in Washington DC. She was Program Director of Darfur Peace and Development Organization (DPDO) from 2006 – 2010, providing support for schools and establishing two Women’s Centers in IDP camps in N. Darfur.
