"If Only I Were That Warrior" Film Screening and a Q&A with the Filmmakers
Date and time
Description
The Boston University African Studie Center, the Center for the Study of Europe and the Italian Studies Program are proud to announce a screening of "If Only I Were That Warrior" featuring a special Q&A with Director Valerio Ciriaci and Producer Isaak Leptzin.
A bit about the film: Following the recent construction of a monument dedicated to Fascist general Rodolfo Graziani, this film addresses the unpunished war crimes he and others committed in the name of Mussolini's imperial ambitions. The stories of three characters, filmed in present day Ethiopia, Italy and the United States, take the audience on a journey through the living memories and the tangible remains of the Italian occupation of Ethipoia in 1935.
