IDSJ WEBINAR: Deciphering the DEIB Job Description
Overview
Since its inception, IDSJ has been a professional development program for individuals who want to build inclusive and affirming learning environments that foster social justice for their students and the broader community. Our programs are designed to support educators in their personal and professional growth, regardless of their prior knowledge or familiarity with the subject matter.
Join us on Wednesday, December 10th for our new IDSJ WEBINAR* "Deciphering the DEIB Job Description: How to Read Between the Lines to Find the Position You Want." You may read several job descriptions in your search to find the DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging) position you’re looking for. Learning to decode a job description is an essential skill to identify specific clues that will help you look past the jargon to understand what a school may really want. Job descriptions matter because they outline the school’s expectations for the role. This webinar will give participants a nuanced understanding of how to mine insights from job descriptions, as well as provide a practical framework to help identify what truly matters. Your ability to uncover potential red flags and decode what schools are truly seeking in the DEIB position could be the difference between job satisfaction or frustration.
