Join us at Down South Therapy, 8 Edison Circuit, East Rockingham, for a free community celebration of International Day of People with Disability!

This inclusive afternoon is designed for people of all ages and abilities to come together for fun, creativity, and connection. Explore a range of interactive and hands-on activities hosted by our Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Physiotherapists. From sensory play and art stations to our exciting reptile encounter, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

The event aims to celebrate diversity, promote inclusion, and build community connections through shared experiences. Families, friends, and community members are all encouraged to attend and enjoy a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere filled with joy and learning.

Accessibility Details

Down South Therapy’s IDPwD celebration will be held at 8 Edison Circuit, East Rockingham, across both indoor and outdoor areas. The venue features flat pathways, ramps, and step-free access throughout, making it easy for people using wheelchairs, mobility aids, or prams to move comfortably between activities.

Accessible toilets are available on-site, and designated accessible parking bays are reserved for those with valid permits. While general parking will be on nearby verges, neighbouring businesses have kindly offered additional parking spaces for visitors.

A sensory-friendly Chill Zone will be available for anyone who may wish to take a break from noise or crowds. AAC boards will be available at each activity station to support communication for all attendees.

Assistance animals are warmly welcomed, and guests can also enjoy an interactive reptile encounter as part of the day’s activities.

The event will be hosted by a team of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Physiotherapists who are experienced in supporting people of all abilities and are available to assist if needed.
