💡 Personal stories are welcome, but never required.
Description
Identity & Imagination: Unlock Your Writer’s Voice and Perspective (Beginner Session)
is a 50-minute live webinar that teaches a simple framework to help you develop stronger characters and more authentic storytelling.
You’ll learn how to use three creative levers:
Lens — Who’s speaking?
Form — What shape does it take (scene, monologue, journal entry, letter)?
Distance — How close or far are we from the moment?
By adjusting these levers, you can transform the same moment into a completely different emotional tone — perfect for fiction, journaling, or memoir.
You’ll discover:
- How to give characters a distinct voice
- How to make flat scenes emotionally real
- How to shape perspective and tone with intention
No emotional oversharing!
No “tell me about your childhood.”
Just creative craft, and the confidence to use it!
You can bring a fictional character, a personal memory, or even a single sentence.
This session is for you if you’ve ever said:
- “I want to write, but I don’t know where to start.”
- “My ideas feel real in my head, but flat on the page.”
- “I’m not sure I’m a ‘real writer,’ but I feel a pull to create something.”
If any of these feel familiar, you’re in the right place. You can bring a fictional character, a memory, or even a single sentence. The framework works for fiction, journaling, or memoir.
Personal writing is welcome, but never required.
You don’t need experience.
You don’t need a finished story.
You don’t need to share unless you want to.
You only need curiosity.
Perfect for:
- Journalers exploring voice without oversharing
- Memoir or personal essay writers sharpening perspective
- Fiction writers developing characters or scenes
