About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Starting a business begins with understanding the needs of your customers. You, as a new business owner, need to figure out where you fit in the market in order to be successful. There are many options available for them to choose when looking for products and services. That includes defining who your customer is and what they want, as well as looking at the solutions already available to them from competitors.

In this free workshop you will learn a simple, straightforward process to define which customers are the best fit for your new business. You will also learn how to identify potential competitors to your business. Eric Byrd, Manager of the Loudoun Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will walk you through an effective way to begin defining your target market and thinking through how to deal with competition for your new venture. Includes information that is easy to understand and activities to help you move your idea forward.

Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities. If you require a reasonable accommodation for any type of disability in order to participate in Workforce Resource Center services, please contact the Center at 703-777-0150.
