IDEA Talks! Featuring Social Entrepreneur and Community Builder Alex Froom
Overview
Alex Froom is a Klamath Falls–based entrepreneur, collaborator, and community builder deeply invested in the future of the Klamath Basin. Alex is actively involved with Watershed Row and Klamath Grown, two locally rooted initiatives that reflect a commitment to sustainability, local food systems, and strengthening the region’s economic and environmental resilience.
Through this work, Alex has gained firsthand experience at the intersection of entrepreneurship, agriculture, placemaking, and community-led problem solving. Whether supporting local producers, building partnerships, or navigating the realities of running mission-driven ventures in a rural setting, Alex brings a thoughtful, practical perspective shaped by real-world experience.
At this Klamath IDEA Talk, Alex will share stories and insights from working across these organizations, offering an honest look at what it takes to build and sustain ventures that serve both people and place. Hear about Alex's commitment to social entrepreneurism and how innovation can take so many different forms in small communities like ours. Attendees can expect a grounded, inspiring conversation about entrepreneurship in rural communities, the power of collaboration, and how local ideas can drive meaningful impact right here in Klamath Falls.
