Then our wood turning expert will go through the use and safety of the wood lathe. You will drill the end of the blank on the lathe to take an insert for the kit. Taking the blank and mounting it on the mandrel, you are now ready to begin shaping the ultimate ice cream scoop. Using the carbide lathe tools you will cut and slice your way through the raw untamed wood. Soon your artistic master piece will start emerging from the wood. When the final shape has been achieved, you will sand the wood to a creamy smoothness. Finally apply the final finishing top coat, your mighty ice cream scoop is ready to do battle with the hard cold frozen denizens of the freezer. Go forth and scoop your way to Hot Fudge Sunday glory.
