About this event

Science & Tech • Science

Learning how to identify local trees is a wonderful and accessible way to immediately develop a closer relationship to the land and other forms of life around you! Join us for this three-hour introductory workshop if you're ready to further your tree-smarts, local environmental literacy, or ability to see and interpret nature as a language. We will clearly cover the principal concepts used in dendrology (the study of trees), then take a walk together in Central Park to utilize them in practice. The workshop will be guided by dendrologist, science communicator, and Dendro Lab founder, Carey Russell.

Registration is limited to 20 participants.
