The Queer Movement Healing Group is a support group designed for LGBTQ+ individuals to explore movement as a healing practice. It provides a space for self-expression, embodiment, and community connection. While facilitated by a licensed mental health professional, this is not a therapy group.
This group is exclusively for LGBTQ+ identifying individuals. While we appreciate allies, this space is reserved for queer and trans folks to heal, connect, and support one another.
Not at all! This group is for all bodies and abilities. There is no requirement for prior experience in dance, yoga, or any other movement practice. You are encouraged to move in a way that feels right for you.
Each session may include a combination of: • Guided movement practices • Breathwork or mindfulness exercises • Group discussions and reflections • Opportunities to share (if you feel comfortable)
No, this is a support group, not therapy. While the facilitator is a licensed mental health professional, this group is not intended to diagnose, treat, or replace individual or group therapy.
We offer a sliding scale fee to make the group accessible: • $10 – Trans BIPOC attendees • $15 – LGBTQ+ BIPOC attendees • $20 – All other LGBTQ+ identifying attendees We encourage personal integrity in selecting your payment option to support the sustainability of the group.
Advance registration is encouraged to ensure space availability, but walk-ins may be accommodated if space allows.
Photos and videos may be taken for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, you can opt out by wearing a designated wristband, which will be provided at check-in.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement. You can participate barefoot, in socks, or in shoes—whatever feels best for you.

There is no pressure to share. You are welcome to listen and participate in whatever way feels right for you.
You are free to leave at any time, but we encourage staying for the full session to maintain the group’s flow and collective energy.
We understand that life happens! However, to maintain a grounded and intentional space, we ask that you arrive on time. If you anticipate being late, please let the facilitator know in advance if possible.
We intend to make this is a monthly support group. The specific dates and times will be provided upon registration or posted on our website/social media.
The group is facilitated by a licensed mental health professional with experience in movement-based healing and LGBTQ+ community support.
