I Can't Create a Storyboard with Gilcrease Museum
Overview
Using a selected piece of art from the Gilcrease collection as inspiration, participants imagine possible stories behind the image — who the characters are, what might have just happened, and what could happen next. Working individually, they create simple storyboards using words, sketches, or symbols to capture their own story or one inspired by the artwork.
In small groups, participants share their storyboards and reflect on what makes a story memorable or emotionally resonant. By the end of the workshop, everyone leaves with a tangible visual story and a deeper understanding of how storytelling connects us — to each other, to art, and to our own experiences.
