This is a collaborative event by @Mugenn-Sensei, @Kumon (Long Island City), and @This is a collaborative event by @Mugenn-Sensei, @Kumon (Long Island City), and the @NY Japanese American Lions Club. NY Japanese American Lions Club. While supporting children as they pursue their dreams, we also extend a helping hand to children and communities in need around the world through the Lions Club.Ryan (Mugenn-Sensei)guides students through the process of self-discovery, helping them reflect on their inner selves in order to convey their goals and personalities through authentic essays. He assists with everything from selecting the right colleges to preparing for the application process, ensuring the guidance is tailored to each student’s individual needs. His students have been accepted to several excellent universities, including Brown University, Carnegie Mellon, Johns Hopkins, Boston University, Northeastern, UCLA, Manchester Metropolitan University, University of East Anglia, and more.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need to buy a ticket for each family member?

No, you don't. As this is part of a charity event, families are welcome to attend in person. However, for the Zoom link, we kindly ask that only one email address be used per family.

Do you have parking?

Unfortunately, there is no parking lot available. But street parking or Munimeter may be used as it is on a Sunday.

What age group is this for?

There are no strict rules, but starting preparation in 8th or 9th grade can help build confidence. That said, even if you start in 11th or 12th grade, we believe we can still offer personalized advice that suits each student.

Do you offer support in other languages?

YES!We can provide support in Japanese as well.
