Join us for 2 days of real talk, group exercises, and firehouse-style leadership training.
Hybrid NFPA Fire Officer 1 Course – DPSST Presented (2020 Edition, NFPA 1021)
This hybrid course provides the essential building blocks for leadership and personnel management in the fire service. It’s ideal for those currently in or preparing for leadership roles.
Course Details:
- Online Portion: Complete all modules (Chapters 1-11), tests and end of class assignment via Resource One.
- You must score 75% or higher on all tests and finish all coursework before the in-person class.
- Curriculum and Resource One training link will be available starting.
- In-Person Portion: A 2-day session full of activities, discussions, and material review.
- Dates: Febuary 5-6, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
- Dress Code: Business casual or Class B uniform
Registration Steps: Very Important.
- Register for the course.
- Set up a Resource One account. (Using the most updated email)
- Email Ryan.frizzell@dpsst.oregon.gov to be enrolled in Resource One.
Additional Info:
- Task books will be started but not fully completed.
- Students must be affiliated with an Oregon fire department.
- Students must have, or be near completing, NFPA Firefighter 2 and Instructor 1.
- Minimum 12 students required; class will be postponed if not met.
