What does it mean to employ antiracist practices when collecting, accessing and using data? How do we address the legacy of weaponizing data against communities of color? How do we nurture cultures of learning about data? What are the lessons of school closures and how should they guide future work?

These questions have been a starting point for our work in the Puget Sound Data Capacity for Equity Project.

This spring, we will be hosting conversations and deeper learning opportunities for educators working in community-based organizations and P-20 public education systems. Each online event has invited data influencers to engage with the questions above. The deeper learning will include trainings to grow our capacity for equity-focused facilitation and to discuss lessons and opportunities associated with school closures. Join us for individual talks or the entire series.
