Description

Trafficking is one of the fastest-growing crimes nationwide and is affecting every area of Northern Virginia. This free public event will provide information about trafficking occurring in our area as well as opportunities to participate in efforts to increase awareness and support victims.

The Fairfax County Commission for Women

The Commissions are volunteer organizations working as part of their local governments to improve the status of women in their communities.


Keynote Speaker: Elizabeth Scaife, Director of Training, Shared Hope International

Elizabeth Scaife joined Shared Hope International in 2009 and is presently the organization’s lead trainer on domestic minor sex trafficking. Elizabeth has trained federal, state and local representatives of various disciplines, including state policy leaders, and provides technical assistance to Human Trafficking Task Forces in several states. She also coordinates Shared Hope’s national training conference which emphasizes a unique collaborative community approach. On the side, Elizabeth has worked undercover with other professionals to document child sex trafficking in the U.S., appearing on national television.
