The Human Library® is a worldwide nonprofit that invites people to “borrow” human beings as "human books" for a courageous conversation.

About the Human Library®:
At our events, volunteer “Human Books” share their lived experiences in respectful, one-on-one or small-group conversations. Readers are encouraged to ask questions they might not normally feel comfortable asking, creating a safe and open space for dialogue, understanding, and curiosity.

Each Human Book represents a real story and a lived perspective. By engaging directly with people from diverse backgrounds, participants can challenge assumptions, break down stereotypes, and build new connections within their community.

Join us in Los Angeles for an interactive, transformative experience where difficult questions are welcomed—and meaningful conversations can change the way we see one another.

About Griffith Manor Park:

Griffith Manor Park is a public park, and this event will take place around the picnic table area, outdoors. Please come prepared for the weather and bring sunscreen and water, as refreshments and shade are not provided.

ADDRESS: 1551 Flower Street, Glendale, CA 91201

FORMAT: This event will be in our "Reading Hall" format where all Readers attend at once, divided into groups, where you get to dialogue with 3 different Human Books w/in the 2 hour event time. We ask that you please attend for the entire 2 hours.

ATTENDANCE: We confirm our volunteers based on the number of registrants, so we ask that you please honor your commitment to attend.
