Hugh Miller - Ellipsis Lecture Series
Welcome to the Ellipsis Lecture Series featuring the talented Hugh Miller!
Hugh Miller is a graphic designer and art director, based in London. With experience across branding for clients like Nike, MTV, and the Whitechapel Gallery. In addition to cultural projects, he previously worked at Nokia, Microsoft, and Ford Design Europe, within the research-focused innovation unit, Human-Centred Design. As co-founder of BOND's London office and designer at SPIN, he led influential design projects. Hugh’s work has earned recognition from D&AD, the Type Directors Club, and the ISTD. A design archive enthusiast and typography advocate, he has lectured at Kingston School of Art and the University of Greenwich, serves on the ISTD board. His record sleeve design for SO/LO’s At the End of the World, Plant a Tree received the inaugural Freda Sack Award - the highest honour from the International Society of Typographic Designers. Hugh was named one of Creative Boom’s ‘20 Most Inspiring Graphic Designers’ in 2025. As of 2025 Hugh Miller has been appointed partner at Pentagram's London Office.
