ABOUT US:
The pro bono Healthcare United at GateWay (HUG) Clinic provides critical services to our underserved community while delivering real-world clinical experience to students across multiple healthcare programs. Our services are a FREE resource for the local community, students, and faculty/staff. Last fiscal year alone, we provided patient care to 1,075 patients, which equates to $107,500 in local community impact.

As one of the only college-based SPHM training labs in the Southwest, we’re leading the way in integrating safe patient handling best practices into education and clinical training. Our professional and family caregiver programs help reduce the risk of injury for patients, staff, and caregivers—creating safer, more sustainable care environments.
