HSS Building Better Bones - Fight the Fracture
Overview
Join the HSS Performance and Wellness Team for this small group class that will help improve your understanding of your own bone health and recommended adaptations to your exercise routine.
Our Exercise Physiologist will lead the educational series that will teach you to:
- Identify your own risk factors for developing Osteoporosis.
- Understand what risk factors are controllable.
- Develop proper training strategies to guide your goal driven plan.
- Properly execute exercises to help build better bones.
Building Better Bones aims to:
- Introduce current research-based information on bone health and Osteoporosis management.
- Highlight fundamental strategies to target bone health.
- Teach proper movement patterns.
- Improve bone strength.
Class Dates: January 13th, January 20th, January 27th, February 3rd
Class Times: 1-1:50pm EST

Instructor: Kelyssa Hall, ACSM-EP, CSCS, CEAS I, BoneFit
Kelyssa Hall is an exercise physiologist in the fitness and rehabilitation field for over 30 years and counting. She has worked in a variety of settings providing quality care with both personal training and aquatic exercise; and she contributes to ongoing research and education at HSS. Her extensive background working with the older population and people with complex health issues has made her a go to resource for both her clients as well as other professionals in the field. Kelyssa has a passion and drive for helping people get back to and keep doing the activities that they love to do. She strives to empower people to live their best life by working with them to integrate physical activity and healthy habits into their daily routines while focusing on functional movement, balance, strength, and endurance.
