How Well Does Early User Research Predict Final Site Performance?
As UX practitioners, we use many techniques to test the information architecture and navigation of websites at different stages in development. As use these methods, we assume (or hope) they can predict the performance of the final live site. In this research, we investigate the predictive power of three research methods (tree testing, screenshot click testing, and unmoderated usability testing of wireframes) to gain a better understanding of their reliability.
