Overview
Join the Spelman College Department of Theatre and Performance for HOW WE GOT ON by Idris Goodwin, Directed by Natalie Sowell.
How We Got On by Idris Goodwin is a lyrical coming-of-age story set in the late 1980s, where three Black teens in the suburbs find their voices through hip-hop. Guided by a DJ, and selector/narrators, they battle beats, friendship, and identity as they create the ultimate mix tape—and discover the power of rhythm, rhyme, and self-expression.
