How to Write Slow: A Mini Workshop for Quiet Nights
A gentle gathering for weary creatives and thoughtful souls.

This December, join Melanie and Shannon for an evening designed to soften your pace and rekindle your creative breath. Come just as you are, with a pencil, a piece of paper, a warm cup of tea, and—if it calls to you—a small candle to light your way into stillness.

Shannon will welcome the group with a gentle centering, and then Melanie will open the night by reading from her favorite Advent book, offering a tender doorway into reflection. From there, you’ll be guided through a prompt or two—each one crafted to help you slip beneath the noise, into the deeper currents where true writing begins.

Share what you write if you wish. Hold it close if you prefer. Either way, you’ll be met with warmth. And if you do choose to share, Shannon will ooh and ahh over you with the kind of encouragement that makes your nervous system exhale.

Slow down. Sink in. Write what wants to be written.
We’ll hold the lantern while you do.
