Event description

Description

Have you ever wondered what it would take to write a speech that is truly inspiring?

Have you ever wondered whether you could write one yourself?

And have you ever thought whether you could take that speech all the way to the finals of the Toastmasters World Championship of Public Speaking?

At our specially arranged talk, Freddie Daniells will share his perspective on the key ingredients that will help you to write a moving speech that you could use any time you need to inspire an audience or to enter your club International Speech contest and potentially go all the way to the finals.

Showing speeches from past World Champions and drawing on ideas from other disciplines, you will learn how to marry both structure and content to move audiences to a higher level of attainment. Even if you are not planning to enter the contest, the talk will provide good foundational lessons for speakers of all levels.

Our speaker, Freddie Daniells, has attended 5 World Championship finals in person and was a judge in one finals. He has also provided advice to a number of successful Toastmaster Champions at a variety of levels. He is also a professional speaking coach and was the 2012-13 District Governor for Great Britain and Ireland.
