How to Use myGiide to Build Students' Cross-Cultural Competence

Only about 20% of students have cultural agility, the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with the people from different cultures, whether virtually or in person. In this session, we will discuss how faculty members can incorporate myGiide into courses to help students build their cultural agility.

myGiide will help students increase their awareness about other cultures, learn about their own cultural values, and test their cultural agility. It is easy to use and is a great way to foster a discussion about bridging the gaps between cultures.

There are two assessments on myGiide:

1. One assessing cultural values which affect how people communicate, collaborate and build relationships.
2. The other is on cultural agility competencies, which affect how comfortably and effectively we can work with people from different cultures.
