How to Throw a Sustainable Party with Chicago Environmentalists and Eco Chic Events!
Come join us at The Eco Cafe for a fun and informative event where you can learn how to host a sustainable party AND be an eco-friendly guest! Sarah Horn, Founder and Owner of Eco Chic Events, will teach us how to keep the environment in mind through the holiday party season, and Katherine Tellock, Executive Director of Chicago Environmentalists, will introduce the new Sustainable Party page on ChicagoEnvironmentalists.org. We'll also be crafting a lovely and eco-friendly decor item together, using secondhand materials.
Don't miss this chance to connect in person with like-minded individuals and hone your party-throwing skills! We'll be meeting at The Eco Cafe in Lincoln Square, which will be open and able to serve coffee, tea, and snacks during the event. The cost to attend is $20 per person, which helps Chicago Environmentalists cover the cost of staffing the cafe for the event and the materials for our craft project.
Chicago Environmentalists is a 501c3 nonprofit whose mission is to change Chicago culture so environmental issues become a social and political priority. They run an online sustainability community where those who care about environmental issues can ask questions and find sustainability resources, events, news, policy updates, and more. They also host a website that serves as the "Green Pages" of Chicagoland, and advocate for environmental legislation.
