Carianne Huss serves as the Deputy Division Chief over three Workforce Service Cluster Offices and the America’s Job Center of California, and other services delivery sites for the Employment Development Department (EDD). 

 

She provides leadership to the cluster of Workforce Service sites by modeling the mission, vision, and values of the department and the Workforce Services Branch in everyday interactions with staff as well as with internal and external customers.  She is responsible for demonstrating a commitment to Workforce Service efforts and working with staff to plan for effective and efficient delivery of assigned program components consistent with these recognized quality goals.

 

Carianne has been with the EDD for five years and started as a Disabled Veteran Outreach Program Specialist. She has held two management positions with the EDD prior to her most recent position. Before starting with the EDD, Carianne spent 25 years in the United States Air Force. The leadership skills Carianne acquired during her military service is instrumental in her current position.

CCC Employer Advisory Council

The Contra Costa County Employer Advisory Council provides affordable training and resources to take the sting out of managing a constantly changing workforce.

We are a non-profit organization that facilitates communication and support between EDD and employers to convey the services available, such as employment services, management aids, tax and unemployment insurance and other relevant information.

The purpose of the Advisory Council is to:

  • To host educational seminars, workshops and events
  • To sponsor scholarship and community programs and projects
  • To provide a forum for employers to network and share best practices

Our Mission is to provide Bay Area employers with information and resources to enable them to operate more effectively and efficiently.
