Have you ever wondered how hand hewn beams are created? Join us for this day-long hands-on class taught by preservation carpenter, Nevan Carling. Students will learn the basics of timber selection and timber layout all while using traditional tools and methods to create a hand-hewn finished product. Students will be provided with leg protection, eye protection, and appropriate axes/tools for use during the class. Students will be required to wear steel toed shoes or boots and wear long pants that fully cover the leg. Participants must be 18 years old or older.
