Where will the classes be held?

The classes will be held in our personal, home studio. This is located in Riverview. To maintain public privacy, the address will be provided immediately upon registration.

Can I drop in on any of the classes?

No. This is a 6-week course that runs every Saturday, starting April 19th. Each new class builds upon the prior. If a student is unable to attend a class, we will speak privately to ensure the student receives the material covered.

Question 3

What do I need to start classes?

Accepted Answer

Upon the first day of class, you will need your own laptop, headphones, and a jump/hard drive to store music.

Question 4

When will I need a DJ board? How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

By week 3, you will begin learning how to manipulate Virtual DJ with your DJ board. Weeks 1 and 2 will cover DJ boards and the best option for each student. Typically, the boards recommended range from $75-$250, depending on the student's preference. Options covered include new and used boards.

Do I need speakers?

No, I will provide the tables and speakers, so that each student has a chance to practice with a full, live sound setup each week. Once the course is finished, it's up to the student's discretion when they'll purchase their own speakers and table needed to go out and accept paid gigs.

Question 6

Will I be able to make money after this course?

Accepted Answer

This course will provide you with the fundamentals of DJing. You'll learn how to purchase your own equipment, set it up, and utilize mixing techniques to provide service for paid gigs. If the student's performance is professional, they may be hired under DarLuz the DJ for gig opportunities.

Rescheduling classes isn't a problem. Contact us and we'll figure out an alternative day that works for you.
