Ever wondered what the difference is between B2B and B2C product management? In this talk, Anand will discuss the core of what it is like to be an Enterprise Product Manager, drawing upon his experience at Microsoft and Checkr. Enterprise Product Management has different challenges and rewards than consumer products, and while you may find that consumer products are more exciting, think Spotify, Snapchat, Instagram,, working on an Enterprise product is extremely fascinating as well. Aside from general Enterprise Product Management, Anand will talk about what it is like to be a Product Manager at a startup vs. a large company, the exciting things happening in the background check space and his experience working with people across various disciplines.

Meet the Speaker: Anand Lakshminarayan

Anand Lakshminarayan is a Product Manager with several years of experience working in the Enterprise space at Microsoft and most recently at Checkr. After graduating from school at UC Berkeley, Anand wanted to start out his career directly as a Product Manager. He was fortunate to intern at Microsoft in the Windows group and returned full time to work on the Open Source team within the Windows Developer Platforms Division. Anand has given talks at Build, Microsoft's developer conference and was part of the team that launched Bash for Windows. For the past several years, Anand has worked as Checkr as a Product Manager as the company grew from the on-demand industry to traditional enterprise. In his free time, Anand loves music and writes his own R&B music on SoundCloud and Spotify.
