How to: Create a Successful Onboarding Program
Event Information
Event description
Learn how to create an employee onboarding program that sets new team members up for success and ensures you retain top talent.
About this Event
From the first handshake to the six-month mark, onboarding is an involved, dynamic process that demands time, attention, and resources. In this workshop led by Connor Lynch of Rescue Agency, you'll learn how to create an employee onboarding program that sets new team members up for success and ensures you retain top talent.
We'll cover:
- Planning out a new hire's most important first experiences on the job
- measuring a new hire's progress in their first six months
- Implementing feedback mechanisms for the new hire and your team
We'll also:
- Break into smaller virtual groups to discuss your current onboarding process
- Identify small but impactful improvements you can make in the next 30 days
A Few Reminders:
- Register early. We’re keeping the group small so that everyone has a chance to participate during the virtual workshop.
- Do your prep work. It’s short, we promise! After you register, we’ll send you a brief assignment to prepare for the workshop and get your wheels turning.
- Be camera-ready. We’re asking for all cameras to be turned on so that you can interact with the group. We want to see your smiling face!
- Be authentic. The magic that happens when Small Giants leaders come together stems from the authenticity and participation of each leader. Workshops are only an hour long, so we’d love to have your full attention during that time.
- Follow up. At the end of each workshop, we’ll ask you to make a commitment based on what you’ve learned. We’ll follow up with you in 30 days to see how you’re doing. A little accountability never hurts, right?
Be ready to complete a tiny bit of prep work, fire up your webcam for the workshop, and connect with your fellow purpose-driven leaders.
