There are several reasons why an agency may want to collaborate with a researcher, including but not limited to evaluating existing services, improving the range of services, bringing about new ideas for the agency, and expanding the program. This training will elaborate on various reasons an agency may benefit from finding a successful researcher for collaboration. Details are provided to help agencies find the right researcher to collaborate with, how to develop a partnership, and how to increase the chances that the partnership is beneficial for both the agency and the researcher. The training concludes with general rules to follow when finding a research collaborator and a basic introduction to logic models.
