How to Choose the Right Paper with Hahnemühle: In-Store Class

Class Description

Choosing the right photo paper can be a real headache! With the overwhelming number of technical terms (pearl, satin, baryta, matte, glossy, cotton, alpha-cellulose, FineArt...) and the often vague advice found on forums, it’s easy to get lost. In this class, we’ll aim to guide you through the selection process by answering a few simple questions:

• How is paper made? What materials and methods are used?
• What is an archival inkjet print? Why does the choice of paper matter?
• What are the 3 key criteria for comparing papers and making the right choice?

We will then present the full range of inkjet printing papers made by Hahnemühle, divided into two main collections:

• The Digital FineArt collection
• The Hahnemühle Photo collection

Throughout the class, you’ll also be able to ask your questions, which we’ll answer at the end of the presentation.
