Webinar Description:

This workshop covers a 5 step process that will help educators address and resolve challenging behaviors in their classrooms. From observing to putting specific strategies in place this workshop provides the framework that will help prevent and resolve behavioral issues. Participants will have the opportunity to share specific situations they are dealing with and plan solutions to bring back to their classrooms.


Objectives:

The participants will be able to…

1. Describe the five steps in a proactive process for anticipating and reducing challenging behaviors.

2. Recognize common triggers and patterns that contribute to challenging behaviors in early childhood settings.

3. Discuss possible strategies for addressing specific classroom situations using the five-step framework.


Speaker's Bio

Monica Levy is an Aspire and CTLE-certified educational trainer adept in a variety of topics from Classroom Management to STEM to Dual Language Learners. For the last three years, Monica Levy has overseen the Pine Tree Literacy project at Union Settlement School. She also serves as an educational coach for schools in Connecticut and New York. Her movement program, Leapsmart, provides classes for hundreds of children each week throughout the NY area including schools for children with special needs. Also a CLASS observer for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, Ms. Levy observes and coaches educators on how to implement CLASS methods throughout the NY and CT area.


Host's Bio

Dr. Mesh is a clinical psychologist and the co-author of the book “Early Childhood Assessment: A Practical Guide to Psychological and Developmental Evaluations in the Early Intervention Program.” He has worked with families for over 30 years. Dr. Mesh is the Co-Founder and CEO of Los Niños Services, an award-winning Early Childhood Special Education program in New York City, and the Founder of Young Child Learning which provides professional development to teachers and all professionals working with young children. He consults with professionals and parents on the challenges they face in helping young children achieve their full potential. Dr. Mesh is the author of upcoming book Tapas: Tasty Inspirational Poems(www.inspire.nyc).


Cancellation Policy:

If you cancel within 30 days before the event, the registration fee is not refundable. However, you will receive a credit for the registration fee which can be applied to another Young Child Learning event within the following 12 months. The processing fee is non-refundable.
