Did you ever feel a sense of helplessness when a loved one was dying, not knowing what to do, how to comfort them, or how to support yourself in the process? You’re not alone.

This gentle and informative workshop offers guidance on how to care for loved ones through the end of life with presence, compassion, and confidence. Together, we’ll explore both the practical and emotional aspects of dying, from understanding the natural signs of decline, to creating comfort at the bedside, to offering spiritual and energetic support in those sacred final moments.

You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of what’s truly needed at the end of life, not just from medical systems, but from the heart, as well as tools for self-care, communication, and meaningful connection during this time.

Whether you’re a family caregiver, friend, or simply someone wanting to be better prepared to support others, this workshop is a space to learn, share, and heal.

This free workshop is brought to you by End of Life Rhode Island, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the public about the role of end-of-life doulas and raising awareness around death, dying, and emerging end-of-life planning and support options in Rhode Island. Through community education, advocacy, and compassionate dialogue, End of Life RI seeks to normalize conversations about death and empower individuals and families to navigate the dying process with greater understanding, presence, and peace.
