***This 3-hour CEU Virtual Event fulfills the supervision requirement for the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners (ABSWE).
Aspire Counseling & Consulting Services is thrilled to announce our upcoming live training session for the 3 hour supervision requirement for licensure supervisiors. The event will be hosted by two accomplished professionals, Tracy Newman, LCSW-QS, JD and Caitlin Riojas, LCSW-S.
Over the course of this training, attendees can anticipate learning the art of supervision. This training will equip professionals to prepare supervisors to supervise mental health professionals with tools to intergrate practical feedback.
About Our Speaker
Presenter: Tracy Newman, LCSW-QS, JD
Ms. Newman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker- Qualified Supervisor, Esquire in the state of Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Social Work. She also obtained a Master of Social Work and Doctor of Jurisprudence/Juris. She has worked in the field for many years and loves reading true crime and traveling.
Objectives: Attendees will
1.Understand how to model behavior to supervisees that will promote professional success
2. Effective ways to contract with supervisees that reduce risk to the supervisor
3. Recognize early warning signs of supervisor fatigue and burnout
About Our Speaker
Presenter: Caitlin Riojas, LCSW-S
Ms. Caitlin Riojas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a qualified supervisor in the state of Texas. She specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults around life changes, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. She believes strongly in providing unwavering support for my clients and knows that they have the capacity for change within themselves. She supports clients in cultivating healthier thought patterns, behaviors, and relationships through utilizing dialectical behavioral therapy skills, acceptance and commitment skills, and person-in-environment theory.
Objectives: Attendees will
- Explore effective boundary-setting strategies when using virtual methods with supervisees
- Develop a self-care and accountability framework for long-term supervisory success
- Learn how methods of continuous feedback prepares supervisees for fulfilled care
