The Austin Black Real Estate Professionals (ABREP) is the local chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, aka NAREB. NAREB was founded in 1947, making it the oldest minority trade association in America. For more than 75 years, NAREB has participated in meaningful legal challenges and has supported legislative initiatives that ensure the availability of fair and affordable housing for all Americans. Members of the national chapter are referred to as REALTIST®.

Here in Austin and Central Texas, ABREP’s mission is to provide career development opportunities for its members who are not just real estate professionals, but affiliates such as Lenders, Title, Insurance and Contractor professionals and we represent all nationalities too. Our mission is to promote ‘Democracy in Housing’ , homeownership within the communities we serve, and educate the underserved and underrepresented segment of the population about building wealth through real estate.
