About this event

Community • Nationality

Join us for a lecture and conversation to close out Hispanic Heritage Month. This event will be led by University of Chicago Assistant Professor, Ramon Garibaldo, together with former U.S. Immigration Judge, Carla I. Espinoza. Together we will discuss latino voting trends and recent immigration policies.

A portion of every ticket sale will go to National Immigrant Justice Center in support of their efforts to defend immigrant rights.

Questions we will be discussing:

Who are latinos for Trump? What drove them to vote the way they did? What patterns are we seeing? Why did Trump pick Chicago? How has immigration enforcement changed during this administration? What can we, as individuals do?
