About the movie

How Could I Live Without you? (2024)

musical romantic comedy

What connects the past to the present? Naturally, love. And music. But only if it’s really good. Lili discovers an old bundle of letters in her parents’ apartment—letters her mother clearly never intended to show her.
But she doesn’t hesitate for long and starts reading, bringing the past to life before her eyes…
…It’s the early ‘90s, an unforgettable summer at Lake Balaton, where three close friends are on vacation. Only Eszter is determined to stay loyal to her uptight boyfriend back home. But her well-laid plans start to unravel when she meets a laid-back, funny guy with one great quality—he plays in a band and performs with his friends every evening at the beach of Szigliget. What could come out of this? Confusion? Love? Jealousy? A few kisses? A few slaps? Even more kisses? That’s the minimum. The summer at Lake Balaton shakes up the lives of these young people—and even their children’s.
