How Can We Understand Each Other Better
Overview
Jennifer Sweeney, educator and professional speaker offers a talk on how to increase compassion for ourselves and others by asking you to “take a second look” at what happened to us in the past and providing education about life experiences and how they affect the way we behave, the choices we make, both socially and politically, and how those experiences shape the way we see the world. She will share the neuroscience behind our behavior and why the brain's only goal is to feel safe. She will then offer tools to help us regulate our own emotions during stressful times.
