✨ How Can I Know My Calling?

Many people wonder what they’re meant to do in life. Is there a specific purpose or “calling” for each of us — or do we create our own meaning through choices and experiences?

Some believe that our calling is something given — a path we’re meant to discover and follow. Others see it as something we build over time through growth, curiosity, and opportunity.

This week at IQ Café, we’ll explore the idea of calling from different perspectives — spiritual, practical, and personal. After a short introduction, you’ll have a chance to share your own thoughts and experiences in small discussion groups.

☕ What to expect:

• A short introduction to the topic
• Bilingual discussion in small groups with diverse viewpoints
• In a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where any view is welcome

🕒 Schedule:

8:00-8:20 - Listen to a bilingual lecture on the night's topic while enjoying snacks and coffee

8:20-9:00 - Discussion in small groups

Afterwards - Stick around and hang out with new friends!

What is IQ Cafe?

IQ Cafe is a place that wants to create a space for you to think deeply.We think it's a shame how many people go through life without reflecting on things that matter. It’s important to take the time to think about the difficult questions in life. It can be easy to live your life and just go through the motions.

The presentations at IQ Cafe are always bilingual because we want you to be able to practice Japanese and English! For the discussion time, there are tables with English and Japanese available. Let's practice language together!

私たち一人ひとりには特別な目的、つまり「使命」や「召し」があるのでしょうか？
それとも、人生の中で選択や経験を通して自分自身で意味をつくり出していくものなのでしょうか？

ある人は、「使命は与えられるもの」であり、見つけて従うべき道だと言います。
一方で、「使命は自分で築いていくもの」であり、成長や好奇心、そしてチャンスを通して形づくられていくと考える人もいます。

今週のIQカフェでは、「使命」について、霊的・実践的・個人的な視点から一緒に考えていきます。
短い導入のあと、小さなグループに分かれて、あなた自身の考えや経験を自由にシェアしてみましょう。
