Join the Wabash Valley Lean Network (WVLN) for a 60-minute live-streamed event focused on how artificial intelligence (AI) can become your next Lean tool — helping you simplify, speed up, and strengthen the work of continuous improvement.
Just as the Toyota Production System gave us tools to eliminate waste, standardize work, and engage people in problem solving, AI is now enabling Lean practitioners to analyze faster, communicate clearly, and experiment more efficiently. This isn’t about replacing Lean thinking — it’s about amplifying it.
You’ll see real examples of how AI supports Lean methods such as 5 Whys, A3 problem solving, standard work documentation, and Kaizen event planning. Learn how AI can remove waste from administrative tasks, improve documentation quality, and provide creative perspectives on process problems across industries — from manufacturing and healthcare to finance, retail, and service.
WVLN's Doug Ellenberger will demonstrate practical ways to begin integrating AI into your daily CI activities, even if you’ve never used it before. The session is designed for engineers, team leaders, operations managers, and Lean facilitators who want actionable ideas they can apply the same day.
You’ll leave with a clear understanding of how AI supports the Lean principles you already practice — respect for people, continuous improvement, and eliminating waste — and how it can make your next improvement effort faster, easier, and more effective.
Note: Doug will be showing examples using ChatGPT 5 as the AI source.
Who Should Attend
This event is designed for:
- Continuous improvement engineers and Lean practitioners.
- Managers and team leaders driving improvement initiatives.
- Professionals in manufacturing, service, office, and healthcare settings.
- Anyone looking for actionable problem-solving techniques they can use right away.
We will share actionable examples of how to drive improvement in your organizations using these tools and procedures. Maybe even something to help with your personal life.
We will also continue our tradition of "after the meeting" networking—stick around for a few extra minutes to share insights, ask questions, and connect with fellow Lean practitioners.
Don't miss this one.

WVLN is a member-driven group, focused on applying Lean principles and continuous improvement methods to eliminate waste in business processes so member organizations can gain a competitive edge. WVLN helps train, connect, and encourage members on their lean journeys through the exchange of knowledge and experience.
As fabulous as the presentations are in providing new ideas and training that we can actively use in our organization and personal lives, the profound power of the group is the opportunity to meet, engage, and network with highly motivated individuals and leaders driving improvement in their organizations.
Whether you’re new to process improvement and lean or an experienced practitioner, join us for our next event. Connect with peers and share experiences of implementing Lean processes in a wide variety of fields, from manufacturing to healthcare to finance.
Annual membership is $500 per company for as many people as you want to attend. This covers all the events and meetings. Just one person having one good idea can pay for the entire annual membership for your company. There is also a single-person option available for $250 annually that lets one person attend all the events/meetings.
Either option is a fabulous value.
Non-members of WVLN can attend one of our events as a guest (at no cost), so feel free to invite a friend/peer who might have an interest in attending.
