Joe's book, "The Life and Afterlife of Harry Houdini," hits bookstores Oct. 22, and Joe will be on a nationwide tour promoting the book through Thanksgiving.

But we wanted to kick this off in our hometown of Charlotte. On Oct. 17, we are hosting a special event in the Fine Arts Theater on the campus of Providence Day School. The book publisher, Avid Reader Press, (an imprint of Simon and Schuster) has made a special exception so you can buy the book five days before it is available in stores.
