About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

We are delighted to invite you to a light-touch online networking session on Data Science & AI across the University of Glasgow and the international GUILD and CIVIS networks, to bring together researchers across Europe researching in the field of Data Science & AI from a wide range of disciplinary perspectives.

The University of Glasgow’s Centre for Data Science & AI harnesses Glasgow’s diverse research in data science, to facilitate the initiation and expansion of sustainable collaboration across disciplines, industries, public, and governments to drive impactful research.

Data Science & AI are an underpinning theme across all of the Horizon Europe 2025 Work Programme Clusters, both as a central concept in calls across Health, Creative Industries, Space, and beyond, and as an enabler in a wide range of calls from aquaculture management to earth observation. We also expect them to feature heavily in the 2026/27 programmes, just published in draft.

We would like to invite research colleagues to join us online on 29 July 2025, 2PM – 4PM UK time, for a chance to share current research agendas on Data Science & AI and to participate in light-touch networking discussions to make new connections.

During registration you will be prompted to let us know if you would like to present your research. Your registration email will give you a link to pre-populate a Padlet tool with your areas of interest for discussion.

Queries can be sent to researchinitiatives@glasgow.ac.uk at any time.
