Hope Floats with Michael Nardi of Bryn Mawr Quilts

Michael Nardi's sewing journey began at seven under his grandmother's guidance, learning by hand using coloring book pages and found his inspiration in Jenny Doan's quilting videos on YouTube. This revelation led him to take sewing classes at Joann Fabrics, where he excelled and was hired as Assistant Education Director.

Today, Michael is a successful pattern designer, quilt template designer, and fabric designer for Andover Fabrics. If you enjoyed his session during Birthday Bash, you'll love his retreat where you will learn how to make the Hope Floats quilt using Michael's partial seams technique. You will also be able to bring your own fabrics and a supply list will be provided to you at time of reservation confirmation.

We have many activities planned, including Michael's trunk show and workshop on Wednesday/Thursday, so we hope you will be joining us.

What to Expect From MSQC:

Sleeping Rooms - 10 rooms are upstairs and are shared - there are no private rooms available and a chair lift is available for assistance. There are two ADA rooms available on the first floor upon request. If you require ADA accessible rooms, please give us a call at 816-265-1812.

Meals - For Early Bird Arrivals:

• Monday evening: A light dinner will be served.
• Tuesday morning: Enjoy a continental breakfast.

For All Guests:

• Tuesday evening: Dinner will be served.
• Wednesday & Thursday: Continental breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided.
• Friday morning: A hot farewell breakfast awaits before your departure!

Sewing Machines - As we have said above, you are welcome to bring your own sewing machine (don't forget all your cords)!! But if you want to travel light, you can absolutely reserve one of our machines for your use during the duration of the retreat. If you do need to reserve a machine, please indicate this on your registration form. Sewing machine rental fees will not be charged in 2026.

Cancellation Policy - We know things happen, but if for some reason you need to cancel after you have booked your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible. The retreat is only fully refundable 60 days in advance of the start date. In the event that you are past the 60-day notice and are unable to attend, you may transfer your reservation to someone else or move to another retreat at a later date.
