Whether you're a die-hard basketball fan, here to support your family and friends, or simply looking to connect and build bridges in our community, this event is for YOU. Be a spectator, a cheerleader, or just come out and experience the unity, fun, and inspiration of Hoops & Heroes! We are asking community groups, churches, businesses, schools and organizations to register their team and to get as creative as possible with your name and your uniform becasue we will have a prize for funniest and most original.

All proceeds from Hoops & Heroes go to the Kimberly Maddox Youth Scholarship Fund, supporting Long Beach youth who are pursuing careers in law and law enforcement.
Kimberly Maddox was a proud Long Beach Police Officer, CSULB Hall of Famer, dedicated mentor to the LBPD Youth Explorers Program, and a board member of California Families in Focus. She believed in building bridges, uplifting youth, and unifying our community.
In her honor, California Families in Focus has awarded over $30,000 in scholarships to deserving young people in Long Beach who aspire to serve and protect with integrity and purpose.
