Honoring Grief & Gratitude: A Work That Reconnects Workshop

By Abigail Singer

Overview

Join us as we gather in community, honor our grief and dream into a more just and liberatory world.

Honoring Grief & Gratitude: A Work That Reconnects Workshop will be the first in a series of grief circles this winter, happening on the first and third Sunday of the month. Each session will build on the last but will also exist as a stand-alone offering. Come to one, or all, as you feel called.

These grief circles, grounded in The Work That Reconnects, will be a space to gather in community, honor our grief (both personal and collective), make sense of the moment we’re in, and dream into our role in building a more just and liberatory world. As we move through the dark months of the year, we’ll incorporate Earth-based ritual into these biweekly gatherings, rooting into our connection with seasonal cycles.

Part workshop, part ritual, each grief circle will be an opportunity to be present with what is, release what is ready to go, and cultivate the seeds we want to grow.

Our gathering on December 7th will include an introduction to the Work That Reconnects, and will provide a space to honor and process our grief in a supportive container.

All forms of grief are welcome - the loss of loved ones or relationships, major changes and life transitions, grappling with genocide, the unraveling of democratic "norms," ecological chaos, etc. This in-person gathering will provide a sacred space to be present with the feelings in our bodies, be witnessed, and connect with community.

Space is limited - registration in advance is required.

Sliding scale monetary contributions will cover the costs of the space, supplies, and some of the facilitator's time. 20% of all funds raised will be donated to Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition. No one turned away for lack of funds.
