Honor Frost Foundation 1st Regional Lecture in Lebanon

Since its launch in 2013, the joint Italian-Lebanese Kharayeb-Adloun Archaeological Project has carried out twelve years of multidisciplinary research in the municipalities of Kharayeb and Adloun, north of the Litani River in South Lebanon. This long-term investigation had yielded significant discoveries that shed new light on the rich and complex history of the Sidon and Tyre hinterland. This lecture will examine the major archaeological discoveries of the project, situating them within the broader context of rural archaeology in Lebanon and highlighting their contribution to our understanding of the region's historical landscape.
